Ambon (ANTARA News) – Sejak diresmikan hingga kini belum ada penerbangan asing yang menyinggahi maupun berangkat dari Bandara Internasional Pattimura, Ambon, Maluku.

“Belum ada penerbangan asing yang berjadwal yang masuk ke Ambon melalui Bandara Internasional Pattimura. Tetapi kalau penerbangan yang tidak berjadwal seperti pesawat pribadi atau yang dicarter khusus ke Ambon ada. kata General Manager PT. (Persero) Angkasa Pura I, Gerits Mailesun kepada ANTARA di Ambon, Jumat.

Dia mencontohkan satu penerbangan tidak berjadwal dari Darwin, Australia Utara dan masuk melalui bandara itu pada akhir Desember 2009.

Menurutnya, salah satu hal terpenting yang diperhitungkan maskapai penerbangan asing untuk menyinggahi bandara bertaraf internasional yakni potensi pasar penerbangan di wilayah tersebut.

“Masalahnya tidak ada pasar penerbangan internasional di Ambon. Maskapai penerbangan asing tentunya lebih memilih pasar wisatawan yang padat seperti Bali dan beberapa daerah lain,” katanya.

Di samping itu, menurut Gerits, seorang wisatawan mancanegara (wisman) saat merencanakan suatu perjalanan sudah memikirkan konsekuensi terburuk sehingga mereka menanyakan hal-hal yang diperlukan atau kemungkinan terjadi dalam perjalanannya.

Launching Sail Banda 2010

Jakarta – Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare Agung Laksono launched Sail Banda 2010 event that took place at Hotel Borobudur, Wednesday (3/2) night.

Sail Banda 2010 launching event was marked by beating drums by the Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare Agung Laksono,  Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Fadel Muhammad, and the Governor of Moluccas KA Ralahalu.

There were also the Minister of Transportation Freddy Numberry, the Vice Chairman House of Representatives Leimena Melani, and the members of the DPD RI from the Moluccas, the regents/mayors of Moluccas and the Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare Office officials and the Ministry of Marine and Fisheries who attend the launching event.
