Ambon (ANTARA News) – Ambon Jazz Plus Festival (AJPF) II in 2010 will be implemented together with international activities Sail Banda in 2010.
“I hope I hope there are no constraints, we schedule it in conjunction with the implementation of Banda Sail in August 2010,” said Chief Executive Ambon Produccer Plus Jazz Festival (AJPF), Samuel Samson, in Ambon, Sunday.
AJPF have been established as an annual event aims to become the Moluccas in addition to the City of Indonesian music, as well as a vehicle for artistic creativity of local youth, which gave birth to a powerful musicians from the Moluccas.
He said that besides development of art music, an international event as part AJPF will trigger the growth of tourism sector in the Moluccas.
“Hundreds and even thousands of people will travel to Ambon, this affects the improvement and growth of economic sectors in Ambon,” he said.
According to him, to succeed in various national and international events in the City entitled “manise” (advanced, safe, comfortable, beautiful, healthy, prosperous), the need to support local governments, especially to prepare a variety of means of support.
“First that needs improvement is the communications sector because many people want to watch AJPF, but is constrained due to limited transporasi flights to Ambon,” said Samson.
He said the implementation of a three-day diving AJPF overall a success despite there are still shortcomings. “This is the first biggest music event held in Ambon and the international class, so naturally there are many flaws and would be fixed for the next administration,” he said.
The new activity was first held in Ambon, and the second largest after the Java Jazz is, able to attract many spectators, not only citizens of Ambon city, but also from various regions in Indonesia.
“AJPF audience interest high enough. Provençal many came from Makassar, Jakarta, Kalimantan, Surabaya and Bali,” he said.
Musicians who attended the AJPF held 9-11 September 2009, including the band Soul ID, Pasto, T-Five, Saikoji, Dust nasid band, jazz maestro Indonesia Bubi Chen, Benny Likumahwa, Achsan Syuman, as well as international musicians that Wilkins Ramirez (Puerto Rico / USA), Michael Sembello (Philadelphia / USA) and Dutch bands that all personnel and Massada bloody Ambon Ambon local musicians.
