

The Banda Islands are a group of ten small volcanic islands in the Banda Sea, about 140km south of Seram island and about 2000km east of Java, and are part of the Indonesian province of Maluku. Ambon is usually the starting point for visitors to the Banda Islands. The Banda Archipelago is a cluster of 13 tiny islets spouting out of the deep Banda Sea. Located only eight hours away south east from Ambon (capital of Maluku Province, Indonesia) on a regular passenger sea liner. While direct flight in a small 18-seats airplane takes about 60 minutes.
